JUDY VICKERS runs this home, and BARBARA LOCKE and DONNA KERSHNER are on the nursing staff. Now all of this is quite authentic because I got it from LINDA ROYSTON who is teaching out t ere. BOB CIANELLI has had more fun than any of us, I believe! He is instructor at this flying school, you know, and he has been everywhere. JUDI HORN, NORMA JEA HULL, and CHARLES KEEDY are studying under him. Bob saw HELEN RHODES, and BETTY JO BARGER in South America. They teach down there. CLETA GRAMS is visiting NANCY YATES in Italy lyou know Nancy married that Naval officer and girls just tear their hair out to go to those foreign lands to visit themll. JOE BEACH, MEARL EMBLY, ALVIN KAYLOR, and JIM KLINE are all stationed in Hawaii with the navy. I understand that Joe entertains every weekend by singing and dancing. ROSE VANCE is living abroad, too. She married that Count thing-a-ma-bob. JUDY COHILL and JACKIE KESSLER are running one of the big beauty salons in Baltimore. I see them whenever I feel sort of wealthy, or want to make an impression on somebody. Well, ANDY LEO finally made it. He is president of the New York Life Insurance Company. He has so many people working for him. DORA SHAFFER is his legal advisor, GLORIA BOWERS, his bookkeeper, CLAUDIA BARNHART, his accountant, and JOSEPHINE BARNES, PAT FIZER, and DELL KAETZEL his personal secretaries. It keeps BEVERLY SPIELMAN busy just operating the switchboard between his offices. They say his recejgtiinnist PAT ROHRER has a big job keeping his appointments on sche ue. I really learned an ear full of news at the banquet. I was just brimming over with news and with food. SONJA JONES, JOYCE BARKDOLL, GLENNIE BENNER, SHIRLEY DAVIS, and REBECCA DAVIS were the connoisseurs of fine foods for the occasion. ROWLAND CLOPPER served as head waiter. Some of his assistants were HARRY CARBAUGH, MIKE DATTILIO, DAVID UNGER, CECIL BALTIMORE, and CLARENCE HUTZELL. To mention a few waitresses, there were ALFREDA RIDEOUT, J3OSE'PHlNE STONER, NANCY MONGAN, VICKIE NIHISER, and NETTIE AL IMORE. A good time was had by all. Of course we missed several of our classmates. ELIZABETH STERLING is a missionary in Cambodia. Boy that must be exciting! Did you know that RICHARD HYKES is an ambassador for the government in Germany. They say he can really spout off that German. Incidently one of our number is making headlines in Washington. NANCY HANKS has been a senator for two years. She says her biggest problem is lobbyist SAM LANTZ. We were entertained by BARBARA HESS who rendered a collection of her favorite folk songs. After the banquet we all went to the ballroom. It was decorated beauti- fully in Green and White. CAROL SOFKO designed the set. She is one of the top artists in the country. FRANK RIFFEE acted as bouncer for the occasion. FRANK RHINEHART assisted him since he is a member of the state police. BEVERLY VANCE, LINDA WAGNER, JEAN WILLMAN, and PAT WILSON assisted in the coat checking department. Page 5I

Class Prophecy Baltimore, Maryland June IO, I967 Jo M'Dear: I'm simply brimming over with news, afraid it's gonna pop out of my head like Minerva's dad's did lwho ever he was! if I didn't write immediately. We had so much fun in Hagerstown! I had no idea so many of them would be there. Never will I forgive you for going to Europe instead of up there. My dear you never did have any foresight and evaluation! I went into Hagerstown on the train with ROXANNA NEIKIRK, you know she is something big in the Biochemical Research Laboratory at Johns Hopkins. ANNA WELSH is her assistant. Oh! and guess who stalked in- ROSE MARIE NIGH. She said she was president of the National League of Women Voters. ROBERTA MUSSER, SALLY HOCH, and JUDY HOOVER were walking along behind Rose Marie. As soon as I arrived in Hagerstown I took a taxi to the school. The driver was BILL BUCHANAN. I understand he has a slew of taxis. When I arrived you'll never guess who was there to greet me, LINDA DELAUDER! It seems that she is assistant to the assistant to the principal. LOUISE BARNHART, JACKIE CONLEY, and PATSY FORREST all have jobs in the office. PATSY MASSER is also employed as full-time switchboard operator. My, they certainly do have a well-qualified staff of teachers at dear old SHHS. I was so proud to see so many from our class. CAROL WHITE is head of the mathematics department. She replaced DONALD RICE who is now a professor at the University. LINDA LOCHBAUM is also teaching Latin. TED DOFFELMEYER and DICK THOMAS are assistant coaches for our dear ole Rebel teams. Then that night there was the banquet, Darling, it was what you might call Iaughin' through tears. lt is pathetic the chillun' and trouble some of them have had. Everybody got up and made a speech like NIKKI SAYERS did-about how she and JACKIE COOK had been modeling for Golden's Ladies Shoppe all these years. They say GARNE'l'l'A GRIMES has taken KIRKLYN MIDDLEKAUFF'S place in hat ads. RONNIE KERSHNER is in the ad business too, he poses for collar ads. JUDY ISEMINGER and PATSY TABLER are teaching in a little school out near Locust Grove. Have you seen the New York papers lately? Our boy DAVID BRAGUNIER is really making a smash hit with his band, the Rebel Rompers. Of course, he has some strong support from RONALD BUTTS and JIM SHILLINGBURG. Some of our old classmates have really left their mark on the world. BOB BURGER struck a big oil gusher and is just filthy rich with money. I heard it rumored that he bought twenty new sports cars from JOHN OT-l'. DAVID RIDENOUR is really soaring high too. He is president of the largest television company in the world. He has an awfully large staff of former South Highers. ELLSWORTH BOWLES, PAUL KEPLINGER, and BOYD WOMACK are all working for him as electrical engineers. Besides that he has JEAN BELL, PEARL GROSS, BARBARA GRIER, JEAN HAMBURG, and DARLENE HARBAUGH as his secretaries. All I can say is it must be nice. Jo, you know HANNAH NICKLAS is writing the Miss B. Class Prophecy lContinuedl The entertainment was marvelous. NANCY NUNAMAKER is still making headlines with her piano playing. Next on the program was the Stonettes from Television Village -- FRANCIS NORRIS, SHARON MONGAN, REBECCA GOETZ, JOY TANNER, DORTHEA MYERS, WILMA SHOWE, CATHERINE STODDARD, ANN STOUFFER, GLORIA SHANK, CAROL WADE, ANN MOORE, and ROSALIE WOLF. There are twelve of them. SIG BRANDENBURG entertained with his circus clown act. He had the audience rolling in the aisles. ANDREA SNYDER gave a demonstration of the acrobatics that she teaches her physical education classes. JERRY HESS was on hand with his assistant HARRY STEPHENS to photograph the occasion. I met two of my old friends DOLORES MARQUISS and BARBARA ROUZER. They are both social workers in Baltimore. They are really cleaning up the town. SUSAN MORTON and JOHN RAMACClO'l'l'l were on hand to protect all the flashy jewels. Susan is a private detective, and John is working as on agent for the F.B.l. It is wonderful to hear of the success some of them have had. I was talking to NANCY MINNICH and FANNY SELSER. By the way they are both happily married now. They filled me in on a lot of the news I have been missing. RICHARD CUNNINGHAM is currently starring in a play on Broadway. It was written especially for him. Did you know that ALICE GROVE is Director of Admissions at HJC? LAURIE DUDLEY is a famous criminal lawyer. She had BONNIE PRINTZ, who is a prison warden, help her gather evidence for her last case. NANCY LUMM is working her fingers to the bone at the State Department in Washington. RICHARD MESSERSMITH has been doing very well at the Naval Hospital. He's a brain surgeon you know. His medical secretaries are GAIL SWEENEY and JOELLEN MONROE. DONNA MULLENDORE is also a physical therapist in the Navy, and NANCY MELLOTT is a psychiatrist. ANNA CUNNINGHAM, ELLA MAE BRANDT, and LILLIAN TYCHINSKI are all helping to nurse our fighting forces back to health. This valley has really prospered as an agricultural community. CLARENCE COOK, ROGER GROVE, ROBECT BECKLEY, EUGENE KELLY, TERRY PRICE, and JACK SCHINDEL are really shipping the products to the markets. ELGENE ROE has become very prosperous as a chinchilla farmer with his partner GEORGE MONGAN. Did you know that CHUCK ANDERSON, DICK BAKER, NICK CARTER, TERRY STROCK, KENNY KEYES, and RONNIE MC NAMEE are on their way to the Olympics. I bet they come home with South High's banners waving higher than ever. Here's hoping! Among the other guests at the ball were JOHN WATTS and BRUCE DICK, our happy wanderers. John is preparing for his safari into the Wilds of Africa to hunt Big Game. Bruce is about to embark on his voyage to the moon. He has finally perfected his rocketship. I forgot to tell you that FRANK MARCONI served everyone pizza from his Pizza Palace. Page 52
