THE SOUTH RISES AGAIN! The Warriors of 1980, including over 30 seniors, kept the tradition of S.G.P. at a very high level. Despite a 3-7 year, they fought very hard in every game and displayed a sense of dedication and winning attitude that everyone was proud of. Although there were seven losses, the mighty Warrior Football team won their Homecoming game. Warrior alumni, along with other fans, came to see their football team win a Home- coming game against the Nimitz Vikings of Irving. The Warriors won their first Homecoming game in four years by decisively beating the Vikings tons Moms mviisy 30-12. As if this were not enough, they came back the next week and won the biggest sports event of the yearn fo Grand Prairie, tne annual North-Soutl game. The Warriors ground the Goo phers under by a score of 14-0. This win upped the City Championship record in favor of the Warriors to 5-2. The Annual Staff would like to give their appreciation to all of the Seniors who displayed their spirit and loyalty on the field and the underclassmer who will be the leaders of the 198' Warrior football team. ,.
