ABSENT FROM PICTURE: Charmaine Burnell. ajorettes The musical organizations have been very active this year. All three organizations - the band, the orchestra, and the choral club have given assemblies to the student body. Band membership now numbers about forty. Work was done on many concert numbers in preparation for the various performances which the band gives throughout the school year. These performances include: concerts for the Junior and Senior High, football game shows at half time, Mt. McGregor for the Veterans, Memorial Day parade, Easter Concert, the Senior-Junior Play, and the competition in the New York State Music Festival. The Choral Club this year has grown considerably, especially in male voices. Lack of male voices has usually been a great problem, but this year there were many boys who joined the club. The Christmas Cantata, Wondrous Love, was given in December. This was very well received, especially because of the pantomime that was given along with it. This year also marked another first for the Choral Club. Martha, a full-length operetta, was given in May. This was the first one ever done by the club. The Orchestra was also a very active group this year. It gave a special concert to the Junior High and Senior High early in the year. Other activities include: The Christmas Concert, Christmas Assembly, Easter Concert, Graduation, J unior-Senior Play, and the Music Festival in the spring. Q 95
