Under the capable coaching of Gil Burriell, the Bulldog Pups have stead- d ' h n b the increase in the winning of games ln the 56-57 season, y improve , as is s ow y . he results were 4-12. Improvement showed up in the season of 57-58 with the over-all esult of 7-9. The past season of 58-59 ended with a total of 10-7. The Jayvees played a very good offensive game with Henry Dwyer 12211, Wayne ones C2091 and Pete Wood C1731 leading in the scoring column. Henry Dwyer's 221 is 15 h of the school's Junior Varsity scoring record of 236 set in the 56-57 season by his Y arother, Jerry Dwyer. Playing on defense, Louis Luciano and Wood did an excellent gob aut front, while Bill Alden, Dwyer and Jones scrapped under the boards for the ball. ' ll Among the seven games lost, five were lost by a sma margin of one to six points. The highest game score was the South High-Whitehall game at Whitehall with a final total of 84-48. The Junior Varsity is looking forward to an even better season next year with Bryan Bidwell, Dick Measeck, Jim Stratford, Gary Lanphear, Mickey Kipp, Mike Dickinson and Don Foster returning to form the nucleus of the team. Calling signals for the Little Bulldogs was Don Flewelling with Mike Dickinson, Mickey Kipp, and Bill Varney carrying the leather. On the line were Bill Mull at Center, Bob Owens and Bill Rendo at Guards, Paul LaValley and Brian Bidwell at Tackles, and Dick Stan- czyk and Tom Cleland at Ends.
