VllllEllll HHH The Varsitv Club is composed of boys who have earned their varsity letter in some sport and have been. elected to membership by the present members. The Club participates in many activities to promote sportsmanship and to benefit worthy Causes. This year the Varsity Club lent its support to the Medical Loan Fund Benefit Basketball game by donating refreshments and sup- plying officials. The Saturday Morning Midget Basketball League and Boys' Intramural Sports are coached and offi- eiated by the members. Money made from selling refreshments and from the annual Varsity Hop is used to purchase sweaters for members. Officersfof the Varsity Club are Edmund Cridge, presidentg Robert Farry, vice-presidentg and Williaiim Hayes, secretary-treasurer.

Slllllll lIlEH Ullif5l HHH The South High Digest staff, in its second year, managed to come closer to its goal of giving all students a periodic review of school and sports news. The staff, headed by Carol Pratt as Managing Editor, gave the students several issues which included a Moving-up Day edition saluting the seniors. The managing editor is always a Senior who has served at least one year on the staff. Membership in the club is open to any student in grades seven through twelve.
