Choir Presents Pop Concert November 2, the Choirs pres- ented an assembly in order to raise money for equipment that had been stolen. They sang selections from movies sueh as Fiddler on the Rotf Speak Softly Lovew from The God- father. Other songs were I Believe in Musici' and I Heard the Voice of Jesus, The Showboaters sang To Save the Countryf, With the selling of memo calen- dars and the assembly, the Choir earned enough money to purchase new equipment and buy insurance for it. Chuck Murphy and Ron Privk narrated songs from the beginning of rock and roll musie, up to the present day musie. They played songs from top name recorders such as: Roses are Red and Teen Angel, Elvis Presley's Love Me Tender, The Beatles, I Love You Yeah, Yeah, Yeahw and Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Bandfi up through ,limi Hen- drix, Janis Joplin and The Rolling Stones. It was a tremendous suc- cess. Top Ich: l'v1- get it made in the shade. Right: Churk Murphy adds a few facts about the history of rovk and roll. Bottom hw: He's a hunk.
