Homecoming Explodes at S.G. Abundant excitement was dis- played as students participated in the Homecoming activities. In spite of the setting off of the bonfire early, the Key Club and other stu- dents rebuilt it in a record time of four hours. The bonfire was an extreme success. During the half- time of the victorious game against R. L. Turner, Sheryl Barnes was named Homecoming Queen. A vic- tory dance followed the game, and Saturday night the Coronation Ball concluded Homecoming activities for 1972. Top Left: Sheryl Barnes beams after being named the 1973 Homecoming Queen. The Colonel football team, playing to the best of their ability, showed what they could do when they put their minds to it. This indeed proved that the South had risen again and will continue to rise. Top lejl: The Colonels learn that tackle the man with the- ball is not just a game.
