Their trips consisted of going to Plastic Manufactur- ing Company in Garland, General Motors In- corporated at Arlington, Ottis Engineering in Carrollton, and the Southwestern Tool Expo- sition at Market Hall. As their money making projects, the club sold Colonel Plaques and cut strips of plastic for a local firm. In October, the club entered a float with the Three Little Pigs as their theme in the Homecoming parade. Beginning in Decem- ber, the members visited the Veterans Hospi- tal each month and took cookies to the pa- tients. Ending the year was the Texas Indus- trial Arts Students Convention in Austin. Herlinda Caslro Marina Liltle Michelle Moms, President joyre Gibson Members ofthe Future Nurses participated in a Get Aquaintedn party at the beginning of the year. They also participated in the Homecoming parade, and were awarded first place in the car division with their entry titled, Humpty-Dumpty in the hospital. During the year, the club members toured Baylor Hospital and the Baylor University School of Nursing. Another trip was taken tc the Scottish Rite Hospital. Delegates attended the Texas Association of Careers for Health in Austin, Texas. In December, a Christmas party was held for the members and the club presented Christmas gifts to a disabled nurse. As the main money making project of the year, the members sold candy, A Navy nurse was also presented as a speaker at one of the meetings, and later a Mother-Daughter tea was held. M rs.
