Festivities ofthe 1970 Homecoming season began with the bonfire October 29. This year, the bonfire almost was not, as it was burned ahead of schedule by unknown person or per- sons. But the industriousness of the Key Club members, who were in charge of the bonfire, overcame the doubts of everyone, and they re- built the bonfire. This time, all-night guards were placed on the site until the scheduled night, to insure a bonfire for everyone. In the Homecoming game Friday night, the Colonels squeezed by the Paris Wiltlcats 6-5. During half-time, Cathy Stovall was an- nounced Homecoming Queen of 1970, Climaxing the activities, the Coronation Ball was held in the S.Cv. ballroom fotherwise known as the cafeteriaj with the official crowning of the Queen.
