YI 'X1111111Q111111 1411111 2' 11'11'11 1 .1111 .11 13 U X H xntmiim 11 .111' 1.11155 P1'1'b11,11'11I 111. 11 1 A 1 x111111,1'.111,k'11111111111113 LM l'1 In 11 1 .11'L11Q CLASS HISTORY September 1949 marked the begmnmg of our hlgh school days We proudly entered the school doors as eager freshmen who had long awa1ted the occaslon Our m1nds were repleted w1th dreams of fun part1es dances sports and all of the act1v1t1es we had so long watched our upperclassmen take part ln However we were soon to learn that hard work and ser1ousness was also an lmportant task 1n rnakmg our class a success Th1s proved to be true 1n our sophomore jumor and sen1or years Agam 1n Septen ber 1950 we proudly entered the school doors th1s t1me as sophomores Our determ1nat1on and a1rb1t1on were even greater for we realwed that th1s year was to hold more respons1b1l1t1es We got off to a start by electlng our class oftlcers They were Pres1dent Damel B1earman V1ce Pres1dent John Luck Secretary Nancy Smxth and Treasurer Robert M1ller These off1cers and the other members of the Sophon ore Class 1mmed1ately took to work m tak1ng an act1ve part 1n school act1v1t1es Our mam lnterest of the year was a dance wh1ch was held on Aprll 6 The South Fayette Hlgh School Dance Band furmshed the mus1c Tlus event turned out to be very prosperous and successful As our sophomore year drew to an end we anxlously looked forward to our next school year when we would become Junlors The school year 1951 1952 flnally arrlved and we as Jumors had a flourlshmg year a.head of us We f1rst elected our class off1cers who were Harouse and Treasurer Mary Jane Ragaller We also ordered our class r1ngs and sweaters 1n the early part of the year About the xmddle of the year we held a record dance wh1ch turned out to be very successful Then 1n March we presented our f1rst play Take Your Med1c1ne ' Our dlrectors were Mr S1mone and M1ss Jaceko who w1th the cast and var1ous comm1ttees made the play a very successful one Soon after our play we had our May Day w1th Nancy Sm1th as May Queen and Ronald Thevenln as May Klng The crowmng took place 1n the evemng on May 1 w1th many takmg part 1n maklng It a very colorful and f1tt1ng occaslon Followmg the program a dance was held Muslc was furmshed by the Dance Band Our last event of the year was our Jun1or Prom The theme was Tul1p mme and the mus1c was furmshed by Buddy Barron and h1s orchestra All who attended w1ll agree that It was a dance long to be remembered At last 1n 1952 we had reached the year we had worked and strlved for all through our school days Th1s was our Semor year Agam and for the last t1me we chose our class off1cers Ronald Thevemn was elected as Pres1dent Lo1s Mltchel as VICE Pres1dent M1m1 Mramor as Secretary and Mary Jane Ragaller as Treasurer Our athletes rece1ved recogruuon 1n football basketball and soccer Our second class play That Glrl Patsy' wh1ch was held 1n November was very successful under the d1rect1on of Mr Iagnemma and Mrs Como The Jumor Sexuor Prom was another outstandlng event of the year The clunax of our school days came w1th the pubhcatxon of our yearbook and then end1ng 1n Bacca laureate Classmght and Graduat1on Our school days w1ll always hold a perma nent place ln our m1nds 1n the years to come , , . . . l 7 I ' 'A 7 .
