Taking care of all office business, transcripts, and student records vvas only part at the iob ofthe secretaries. Operating the switchboard and answering an average of T00 telephone calls a day, they played a vital roll in effective communications throughout the school. Among other duties, the custodial crew waxed over three miles of hallway three times a year, washed l3,376 window panes, and kept the 40-acre campus shipshape. The cafeteria staff served 1,050 students every day and found that any meat and gravy combination was the most popular dish. Among other foods served daily were T00 pounds of hamburger, 70 pounds of flour for baked goods, and 800 cartons of milk. The eleven bus drivers transported 774 students to and from school as well as to out-ot-town games. Mrs. June Ketel, school nurse, who aver- aged 35 patients a day, maintained detailed health records on each student. Marlin Withrow, president of the Parent Teacher Association, pre- sided at all ot the organizations functions in- cluding the three class desserts, Elwood Violette, head custodian straightens tables before second lunch
