STUDENT COUNCIL Where the Action Is A student governing body is given as much power and authority as it is capable ot handling. The Student Council representatives, elected from their second period home- roorns, brought recommendations from the students to bismonthly meetings. Student Council served as the coordi- nating center for all school activities, and the representatives bridged the gap between the students and their leaders, Included in the agenda were such matters as approval ot the budget, revision ot the statute system, appropriation at tuncls for activities, and semi-annual reports tram all otticers and standing committee chairmen.
