PUBLICATIONS The Year in Print Combining words with pictures to tell the story of the year was the task of both The Axe and Eugenean staffs, but the tasks were different. The Axe staff published a newspaper, averaging TO pages every other Friday, while the Eugenean staff worked all year to record the years happenings in a book designed to last a lifetime. The problems were many, but the fun of working together, the experience gained, and the satisfaction ofa finished product were worth it all. Through the dedicated efforts of the students and adviser, Mrs. Alyce Sheetz, the publications department maintained its high standards. The Eugeneart was the only All'American and Medalist yearbook in Oregon for 1965, and The Axe received the Medalist award. Outstanding members of both staffs were elected to Quill and Scroll.
