The game was held during the 80-minute lunch period, awarded tothe sophomores as Charity Drive winners. Mark Lutz announces plays during game. Here he checks with faculty coach Mike l.andino. Mickey Luell is at center, 231 All for Charity Profits from ice-cold fruit flavored sno-cones and fluffy hot puffs of popcorn won the sophomores first place in the Woo olleschool Charity Drive rn March, earning SCM887, a feat never before oc- complished by the baby Axemen. As a reward for their efforts, the sophomores received an 80-minute lunch period one day in May. Big event of the balmy afternoon was the sophomore-faculty base- ball game. Seniors and iuniors also worked diligently, with the two classes collecting 3786.29 and 56682.92 respec- tively. Under the direction of general chairman Mark Lutz, the Charity Drive totaled 52,417.28 during the two weeks in March, The money was divided among three funds with the Eugene Chil- drens Hospital receiving 50 percent, Pearl Buck school 25 percent and Russell Hendricks, a former South Eugene teacher recovering from neuro- Surgery, 25 percent.
