Organizations GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION provided an opportunity for girls to participate in sports Through intrcfmurals and inter- school competition. Aided by Adviser Nan Wilcox and President Janice Potter, the girls represented South at various GAA basketball, hockey, and track events throughout the state. RIFLE CLUB members learned the proper care of firearms, as well as howto use them. Adviser Burdette Kindred, stressing safety, taught the members to be alert at all times, whether practicing or hunting. CHESS CLUB met after school several days a week, giving members a chance to practice for matches with other schools.
