Organizations MEDICAL CAREERS CLUB, composed ot girls interested in nursing, medicine, or health, was advised by Mrs. June Ketel, school nurse. Members collected Christmas toys for the Childrens Mental Hospital in Salem, sponsored a potluck dinner in February tor their sister clubs tram surrounding high schools, and visited the University at Oregon Medical School in Portland. Meetings, led by President Gertie George, often consisted at guest speakers from various medical institutions. CAMERA CLUB, a new organization, was initiated by the photographers ot the iournalism department. Using the one 11 by 5 and three 2-l XA cameras belonging to the school, members took pictures forthe Eugenean and Axe. Activities were directed by President Stewart Aly and Adviser Mrs. Alyce Sheetz. MATH CLUB gave students the opportunity to become ac- quainted with aspects ot mathematics not exposed in the classroom. President Bob Yood and Adviser Robert Stothers kept activities interesting by inviting mathematicians from the University at Oregon to speak before the club. Exciting event ot the year was the demonstration ot the computer on the Oregon campus. Math Club officers Meg Ghent, Bob Yood and Ken Beat happily find solution to problem. 4
