Organizations BIOLOGY CLUB, advised by Mrs. Nora Robertson, ottered students a chance to develop their scientitic interests. Field trips were made to the Mouse House at the University ot Oregon, the Eugene Water and Electric Board plant, the biological station at New- port, and the Linfield College science exhibit. Meet- ings were led by President Jim Wilson and tre- quently consisted of lectures by various biologists trom around the state. Highlighting the years ac- tivities was a weekend study trip to the coast in the spring. RADIO CLUB, transmitting over ham radio station VVA7ClK, practiced Morse Code and listened to radio technique lectures by President Bob Griswold. Meeting after school each Tuesday in the small radio room upstairs, members worked toward achieving their amateur operators licenses. The clubs adviser was Kenneth Howland. FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA explored the many aspects ot careers in home economics. The clubs goal was to emphasize individual creativity and development of personal ideas. Mrs. Betty Wormington, adviser, aided the girls by inviting home economists to speak at meetings and giving helpful advice concerning culinary or tailoring problems. Trips were taken to local stores and bakeries, as well as an excursion to the home economics: department at Oregon State University.
