These representatives work with the administration and the student body ofhcers in working out prob- lems that affect the students and the school. Each year the Council selects one or more projects for the improvement of the school. This year the council's projects are improving the sound system in the auditorium, building tennis courts, and im- proving the Student Body courtyards. 22

RECOGNITION AND PUBLICITY COMMITTEE The purpose of the Recog- nition and Publicity Com- mittee is to keep the students and school patrons informed on information concerning South Eugene High School activities and events. Mem- bers prepare news releases of the activities and submits them to all communication media in this area while others work on promotion ideas for Student Body ac- t1v1t1es.
