Steve Hintz President lllass ol l95ll lt has been stated that one's junior year in high school is the beginning of a new era of activity, Age, cars, land a more prominent position in schooll all have influenced the Class of '59, the largest class in the history of Eugene High School. Guided by their president, Steve Hintz, the junior class began the year with a highly successful car wash that boosted the sagging treasury. Many wonderful hours were spent by a jolly crew in constructing a float for the Homecoming parade. The prom, Stairway to the Stars, was the ma- jor class project. Everyone who wished to help was used and the prom was wonderful. On the more serious side, a memorial award was established in remembrance of Terry Payne. Mrs. Berreman and Mr. Goode ,the junior class advisors, have been a great help to the class. The juniors in the Class of '59 are now ready to assume their role as mighty seniors. ,s Y f ,', 7, fi 1 ' 'wi , 3,1111 V. asiylwzi . ' . .,W,s. QM my ti it - a f gr im?
