Many promising sopho- mores and three returning Iettermen greeted Mr. Doggett as the golf tryouts began. Captain Jack Mattison, medalist in last year's state tournamentg Larry l-lirons and Pete Geertson should be the backbone of this year's team. With wonderful coaching by Duane Mellem, the team should have one ot its best years, Three two-year lettermen and many one-year lettermen are returning, and should make up the bulwark of the team. The three two-year lettermen are John Polhemus, Charlie Warren and Captain Tom Jones.
