Springfield Drops Axemen The Axemen absorbed their third loss of the season at the hands of a good Springfield team. The score was 5l-42. The first quarter showed very tight ball control. At the end of the quarter the score was five to three. The second quar- ter was like the first, with the halftime score l7-l3, in favor of Springfield, ln the second half Springfield pulled away. At one time they were ahead by i9 points. In the fourth quarter Eugene fought back and lost by only nine points. The Axe- rnen, who played without Charlie War- ren, had a terrible shooting percentage. The Axemen shot .l87.
