Dedication We the members of the 1970 Annual Staff have chosen to dedicate this edition of the MACCRIPINE to one who has shown tremendous school spirit and much personal concern for South Edgecombe High School. This person is a native of Pine tops and an outstanding leader in community, school, and church affairs. He is a very active member of the Pine tops Methodist Church and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wesleyan College Foundation. He is a member and past president of the Pinetops Lions Club and has served as Commander and Chaplain of the American Legion Post 316. He was graduated from South Edgecombe High School in 1944 and from North Carolina State University in 1949. He is also a graduate of the Executive Program of the University of North Caro¬ lina. Although he is employed at the present as Regional Vice President of the PLANTERS NA¬ TIONAL BANK and TRUST COMPANY of Greenville, North Carolina, he still finds the time to support our F.T.A., and above all, our school. Thus, we dedicate our annual to Mr. Norfleet L. Sugg, and say, Thank You! 12
