VICE-PRINCIPAL Mr. Alexander E. Morsiad Neither snow, nor rain, nor cloudy skies can dull the cheery Good morning, South with which Mr. Alexander E. Morstad begins each day at South Division. His announcements at 8:30 and sixth hour play an important part in the day's activities. Taking care of tardiness and disciplinary matters are two of his many other duties. Another affair that comes under his management is the lost and found department. An avid fan of school sports he can be seen at many athletic events. His interest is also shown in encouraging the boys to participate in sports, in his urging students to support the teams, and his Monday morning comments on week-end sports events. Vice-principal at South for the last five years Mr. Morstad has always been an integral part of the spirit of South Division. Page .Z I

Page 10 PRINCIPAL Mr. Earle N. Fricker Looking to the future and upholding the traditions of South are the aims of Principal Earle N. Fricker. With a keen interest in the welfare of his students and the appearance of the building, he has worked vigorously to improve con- ditions at South. Among Mr. Fricker's many achievements are the completion of the team room, fluorescent lighting in rooms 124 and 125, the remodeling of the wood shop, and the painting of the asbestos Curtain in Coblentz hall. Other Conte nplated changes include more new equipment, modern lighting, and a students' lounge. In his three years at South Mr. Fricker has proved a capable, understanding, guiding hand to his students. Always interested in their affairs and opinions, he is often seen chatting with them in the Corridors. All will remember these sug- gestions: Take a Course to improve yourself, not just to make a Credit. The test ol your faith is the life you lead 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
