Book, and Mr. Charles Holden, all recently retired, and the total is more than a hundred years of service at South Division. Their forward spirit was projected through diverse channels of activity. Miss Foelske served as Cardinal Annual adviser, dramatics coach, and chairman of the English department. For many years Mr. Book was business adviser for the Annual, later becoming vice-principal and director of school finances. Besides being chairman of the Manual Arts department, Mr. Holden was also adviser of Cardinal Boys' club and director of the National Youth administration. To this Foelske-Book-Holden triumvirate, who have so nobly sown the seeds of loyalty and service in the hearts of thousands of South Siders, we, the class of 1948, pay our highest tribute. ln sincere appreciation we dedicate to them our Cardinal Annual.
