When honors came To Frank, They came noT singly buT in baTTalions. l-lis classmaTes voTed him represenTaTive boy and chairman oT The February com- mission. l-le was a member oT The all-ciTy grid Team and an able baslceTball player. On him also was besTowed The W medal, mosT coveTed OT all aThleTic honors. ln The Cardinal he covered Three maior sporTs and wroTe The column Behind The Scenes. Harry Toolrylc, whose brillianT smile and good humor won Triends every- where, deserved The coveTed honors oT represenTaTive boy and chairman oT The June class commission. She was aclive loo in Girls' club and in lhe Ger- man club. ln her spare lime she indulged her love of sporls, baseball, volley- ball, and baslcelball. Russell Schweida, musician, golTer, booksTore clerk, was This year acknowl- edged a composer OT noTe. ln a naTionwide creaTive arT conTesT, sponsored by The ScholasTic magazine, his solo Tor The violin won a TirsT prize, and one OT his shorTer solos won TourTh place in The honorable menTion group. Russell, whose hobby is wriTing music, has second chair in The violin secTion OT The school orchesTra. Donald l-lomuTh, who Tied wiTh Doris SmiTh Tor second honors in June, was The winner oT The Civic Music medal. l-le aTTribuTecl his high scholasTic average To inTensive sTudy. AlThough Donald had TirsT chair in cellos in The SouTh Division orchesTra, he Tound Time To be presidenT OT Science club and Treasurer oT LaTin club. l-le has mapped ouT a musical career Tor himself.
