A FAIRY TALE” HOMECOMING It was a Fairy Tale evening for Aimee AmRhein as she was crowned queen at South Decatur's traditional Home- coming on October 10. The traditional pep session on Friday afternoon was followed by the parade in Westport with the band and Cougarettes. South’s football team had an exciting game against the Brown County Eagles, al- though the Cougars were defeated 25-14 by the Eagles. During the halftime, the spectators were entertained with the crowning of Aimee, escorted by Larry Kroger, and the parade of floats. The theme for the 1986 Home- coming was Fairy Tales . First place went to the Fresh- man float Four and Twenty 'Eagles' Baked in a Pie”. Second place went to the Sophomores with Ole King ’Cougar ' (The other classes consisted of Three Blind Eagles” by the seventh grade, Humpty Dumpty by the eighth grade, Sing a Song of Six Pence by juniors, and Old Woman in a Shoe by seniors). The FFA float's theme was Old McDonald . There were also floats from the Cheerleaders and the Baptist Youth Center. A dance ended the Homecoming celebration for another year. i 1.
