NHS INDUCTS TWELVE During the afternoon of April 17, twelve juniors were inducted into the South Decatur chapter of the National Honor Society. Potential mem- bers must show strength in the areas of character, leadership, scholar- ship, and service to be considered for membership. Juniors or seniors who have maintained a 3.25 grade average since their freshman year are then voted into the organization by a committee of faculty mem- bers. During a lovely ceremony twelve such members were inducted with the seniors providing special music and Mrs. Carson presenting a speech to the members. After the program, the members, their guests, and the faculty attended a reception given by the Home Ec. Department.
