COUGARS BRING BUCKET BACK The highlight of the varsity football season was winning the bucket back from North Decatur. Their record for the year was 3-7. Members winning awards were: Mark Ewing, M.V.P.; Rob Ewing, defensive back; Dan Richards, defensive lineman; Tim Hughes, offensive lineman; Rod Taylor, offensive back; and Dwayne Rogers, Mr. Tuff. The varsity coach was Mr. Wendling. The J-V football season's highlight was beating Milan at home. Their record was 1-2. Despite the small number of boys on the team (13), they gained a great deal of experience and confidence through the year. The assistant coaches were Mr. Bartel, Mr. Spears, and Mr. Lar- comb.
