More Cheerleaders Being a cheerleader means you have guts. You have guts enough to get in front of a crowd and show your support when nobody else is; guts enough to stand in front of your classmates and yell when they won't. We should thank our yellleaders for the fine job they do. 1. Freshmen cheerleaders: Lauri Cunningham. Kim Lewis, Kathy Elliott, and Beth Shields. Yell your heart out Susan. 3. Go get 'em, Cougars!!! 4 Who said that? 20

Cheerleaders ‘Fired-Up’ and Ready The South Decatur cheerleaders have worked long and hard for the Cougars from all levels. The cheer- leaders from seventh grade to twelfth grade have yelled until their throats ran dry, stomped all over in back-aching stunts, and jumped up and down until their springs broke. The ball players have much to be thankful for in these girls. They stayed late after school and worked for perfection. Their reward—fans yelling in the stands at the ball games. Top, l-r: Susan Elliott, Jennie Wills, Kim Shera, Tammy Huber, and Terry Yeager are the varsity cheerleaders. Right, counter- clockwise from bottom: Debbie Padgett, Ro- byn Huff, Julie Oliphant, and Jennifer Billieu are the reserve cheerleaders. 19
