Bus Drivers Moving It On. The bus drivers of SD have become a necessity in helping students get to their destinations on time. These people are truely a dedicated group of people. In all kinds of weather and at a variety of hours, these people arrive to take a bunch of teenagers to and from school. A lot of these people go unnoticed, but this group is a very im- portant group of people. I think everyone owes them a big thank you! Due to the number of bus drivers they all could not be named. However, we would like to thank them very much. Getting It All Together The cooks of SD are a group of wom- en who are some- times taken for granted. They pro- vide an essential job for the students. While a lot of peo- ple like to joke and tell gruesome sto- ries about the cafe- teria’s food. Howev- er, this is not true for the students of SD. They are lucky to have such a dedi- cated group of women to cook for them. They also provide the students with a variety of foods. Learning Many Concepts The Learning Materials Center has become a place of learning many concepts. This place is run by three women, Joanne Coggeshell, Joy Lyon, and Verneda Wendleman, who provide a great service to the students of SD; they serve the students in the LMC. The LMC has become an important place to find information and obtain answers to questions that students need in their quest for knowledge. The LMC contains books that provide needed in- formation for assignments and enjoymen t. It also contains Mi- crofiche which is an important source for information about to- pics and colleges. The LMC is truly one of the essential de- partments that aids students. Without this center there would be a lot of unanswered ques- tions that need to be answered. Behind the Scenes These three women Shirley Geisler, Jean Sneed, and Bren- da Walton are only a few im- portant people behind the scenes at SD that help keep the institution running smoothly. If a problem should arise, they are quick to the rescue and get the situation back under control. They accomplish a lot of tasks besides just answering tele- phones that otherwise might not get done. These women are a true asset to the running of our school. SOUTH DEARBORN HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY 27

School Aides Pictured left: Leslie Allen and Jackie Grieve In the beginning society created public schools. The public schools continued to op- erate on a highly efficient level because of the contributions of three groups: Students, staff, and the infamous school aides. But seriously folks, these people are very impor- tant to the school setting. Their contribu- tions are numerous and all of their duties deserve many thanks that have been forgot- ten to be given. Leslie Allen and Jackie Grieve we appreciate your efforts and want to extend our gratitude towards you. The Main Crew: Gets It Done V 7 ' y w 3 There are many people who help to keep South Dearborn clean and running smoothly. The main group however, is the maintenance crew. Everyone has seen these people in the halls of South Dearborn at one time or another. These peo- ple are constantly at work improving and repairing things in the school. Without these people, our school would in no way be the efficient institution it is today. Pictured above: Joe Groh Pictured below: Lenard Riddle 29
