DEDICA TI ON The 1972 edition of the Engineer is dedicated to Associate Professor Clyde Harbison of the Mathematics Department. Mr. Harbison, a native of Indiana, attended Wabash College, Craw- fordsville, Indiana where he received his A.B. Following the two years at Wabash College, a Masters of Arts Degree was obtained at Indiana University. While at Indiana University gradu- ate research was done on the Gauss' Pi Functions . Mr. Harbison has had two papers pub- lished, one relating to the FBI telecommunications system, and the other on sound propaga- tion resulting from explosives. Mr. Harbison has been a member of the Tenure, Retirement, and Hospitalization Commit- tee and has served as an advisor to the Board of Control for a number of years. He is active in the Boy Scouts Of America, acting as an Executive Board member and as the Member at Large ofthe Region Ten Council. ln addition he has donated prize money and operating capital to sustain the West River Mathematics Contest. But most importantly, he has in our opinion es- tablished himself as a man who is ever ready to assist another individual. We are, therefore, dedicating this yearbook to you, Clyde Harbison, in token appreciation for the work and assistance you have given the students at the School and the citizens of Rapid City. l l
