After being on the air since August 7, 1971, KETO-FM, the educational radio station of the School of Mines, has grown in- to South Dakota's Most progressive radio station. The station features programming ranging from rock to classical, and on the non-musical side programs of educational or public interest are aired. KTEQ is managed by the Tech Educational Radio Council of the Student Association. The president of the TEBC and Station Manager thru December, 1971 was Greg Carey, and thru May, 1972, Gary Brown. The TERC members are pic- tured at the left. The Engineer Staff M 'f Among the Student Association sponsored activities, we find those collectively called student publications. Of these the Tech is a bi-weekly newspaper having the purpose of keeping the student body informed of campus activities and opinions. The staff was headed by Tom Callan as the editor and included those students pictured on the opposite page: Pat Dady, Tom Callan, Kirk Beck, Steve Eggum, Marlene Nelson, Linda Barnes, Al Ness, Gary Hamilton, James Cooper, and Paul Crosmer. The Engineer, the yearbook you are now reading, was compiled for the Stu- dent Association with the intent that memories and faces of our campus years might be recorded for the future. The work of putting together this yearbook was directed by Senior Editor Leo Van Sambeek, but much of the actual work was performed by Assistant Editor Lynn Kad- ing and the patience of the staff was kept alive by Sandy Oestreich. Al- so assisting were Patty McNally and Janet Lindberg. 1
