The local student chapter is active both on the professional aspect and in providing an awareness among its mem- bers through' social activities. Several members also compete in the national papers contest sponsored by the National Organizationiof ASM E. Membership is open to all students enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate study in the field ot civil engineering.
