' - it 'll--I ,, .-K Dr. Fraser announced the awarding of three 51,000 Good Teacher Awards to members of the college faculty bl the Standard Oil Clndianaj Foundation. The awards were pesented to Professors John Dunn fL.A.I, John Kelley fIJ.A.I, and Floyd Matthew fC.E.J in recognition of out- stlmding contributions to the educational programs of the college. Initial nominations of faculty members are made by the student body with final selection by a combined stildent-faculty committee. John Dunn, born in Milwaukee but raised in South qakota, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. John's College in Minnesota. He has attended the Univer- sity of Nottingham in England and earned his masters and his doctorate at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Dunn is tlle advisor to the Tech. the Techne, and to the Young Dlzmocrats. .IIE . I I ul raflal ER X L I ' F E -i I 'N John Kelley, born in Broxville, New York, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State College. His post graduate education was at the University of Cali- fornia in Berkeley, where he earned his masters, and at the University of Texas. He belongs to several organiza- tions including the Modern Language Association of Ameri- ca and the Conference in College Composition and Com- munication. Floyd Matthew, a Madison native, graduated from S.D:S.M. 84 T. in 1960 with his B.S. in Civil Engineering. He received his masters from the University of Minnesota. He belongs to numerous organizations including A.S.C.E., S.D. Water Development Association, and the Water Pollu- tion Control Federation. Professor Matthew has been ex- tremely active in waste and water pollution control. 177
