Last year the potent Tech team fell only to Sioux Falls College in dual competition and topped off the season with the N.A.I.A. District 12 championship. Led by freshman Monte Evans, the 1969 Hardrocker cross country team took the South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference title. Finishes of first, second, and fourth, by Evans, Bruce Sabacky, and lim Good- man, respectively, gave Tech an eight point margin over second place Southern. The Tech runners displayed their form again in an impressive second place show in the National A.A.U. meet.

192K G OLF Returning lettermen lim Hilton, Steve Lux, lim Gelhaus, and Dave Cappa, hope to improve on last year's impressive show of a second place finish in the District 12 meet and a third place finish in the conference. INTRAMURAL Intramural sports provide an opportunity for all students to enjoy the spirit of competition and physical exercise of athletics. The program here at Mines is well developed and enjoyed by all who participate. Starting with football and bowling in the fall, the pro- gram continues throughout the year offering basket- ball, wrestling, swimming, volleyball, softball, and soccer.
