It provides an opportunity for stu- dents in the field of chemistry to become acquainted both socially and professionally. Meetings are held every other Monday in Room 228 of the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering building on campus. On graduation, a member of Alpha Chi Sigma ceases to be a member of the collegiate chapter but automat- ically becomes a professional member. Professional chapters are located in many centers of chemical in- dustry throughout the United States. They offer many of the same advantages to professional members as the collegiate chapters offer to collegiate members.
