The victory over the Palmetto Panthers concluded the most successful grid campaign in South Dade's history. The Rebels defeated Palmetto for the first time in seven years. Thanksgiving morning of 1967 will long be remem- bered by students and alumni of South Dade as the most exciting football game of the 1967 season. Rebel Football was truly a time of excitement and spirit. The Fall campaign savv the Rebels defeat North lVliami, Curley, Miami Springs, lVlacArthur, Miami Beach, Key West and Palmetto. There was also a short time of sadness as the Rebels lost to Coral Park and tied Columbus and Killian.
