South Dade's Halfback Bobby Vihlen scored twice to double the Rebel's winning margin over Miami Beach, 28-0. The Rebels out- classed the Hi-Tides in all respects, accumulating 320 total yards to Beach's 41. South Dade posted its fourth straight victory by defeating Miami Beach. South Dade's winning streak was halted by neighboring Killian when the two teams settled for a 1313 tie. Quarterback Randy McMichael scored both times for the Rebels and quickly moved ahead of the Cougars, but the Killian offense recovered the 13 point deficit through second half play. The game moved the Rebels to a record of five wins, one loss, and two ties. Fullback Mike Scisco scored four times to lead South Dade to a 26-6 Homecoming Victory over the Key West Conchs. The 155- pound senior Fullback scored on runs of 8, 28, 27, and 21 yards to highlight South Dade's Homecoming Week festivities. The victory over the Palmetto Panthers concluded the most successful grid campaign in South Dade's history. The Rebels defeated Palmetto for the first time in seven years. Thanksgiving morning of 1967 will long be remem- bered by students and alumni of South Dade as the most exciting football game of the 1967 season. Rebel Football was truly a time of excitement and spirit. The Fall campaign savv the Rebels defeat North lVliami, Curley, Miami Springs, lVlacArthur, Miami Beach, Key West and Palmetto. There was also a short time of sadness as the Rebels lost to Coral Park and tied Columbus and Killian. Both joy and sadness make the spirit and excite- ment of the football season an important part of school life and a wonderful time to remember. .i gl X 1 . 1-1 , V , .
