An estimated 3,000 fans witnessed the Rebel's home opener as Quarterback Randy Mc- Michael scored three South Dade touchdowns to lead the Rebels to their second victory of the season by defeating the Curley Knights, 27-7. The Miami Springs Hawks were the Rebel's next victims as the South Dade offensive unit took to the air to score on a spectacular 30 yard touchdown pass from McMichael to End John Mervine. Scisco and McMichael also scored for the Rebels to secure the victory. An accurate offense and a savage defense proved to be the winning combination for South Dade as the Rebels defeated the MacArthur Mustangs, 27-6, in Hollywood. The victory was a milestone for the Rebels who ousted the tenth ranked Mustangs from the unbeaten ranks. South Dade raised its record to 4-1-1 with the victory.
