Mrs. Kitzman Sponsor Students enjoy the Halloween Freak Out. Art Club The Art Club, under the sponsorship of Mrs. Barbara Kitzman, is a creative group of students who are interested in practical application of their creative talents. The Art Club is open only to students taking art and hold its meetings every Wednesday night. Among the clubs activities are bake sales, the selling of South Dade pennants, and the successful sock hop, the Halloween Freak Out. Teens in Politics The Teens in Politics Club is composed of students who wish to further their study of our democratic system of government. They study the principles of government and, in doing so, prepare themselves to take an active part as responsible citizens of the nation. The club meets twice a month and has varied programs. Many heated debates were carried on under such topics as Civil Disobedience, the Vietnam Crisis, and Capital Punishment. Through these debates, each member was able to participate while at the same time broaden his views and opinions on many subjects. Science Club The Science Club, sponsored by lVlr. William Royal, works hard to create an interest in science throughout the school. One of the club's main responsibilities is the organization and setting up of the annual science fair. Other activities include various field trips, designed to educate and entertain, and a club float in the Homecoming parade.
