Guidance: A Helping Hand to the Future The Guidance Department is one of the school's most valuable assets. Guidance is an art which these personnel have mastered. Not only do they strive to en- courage and advise students, but they also work with schedules, test grades, and forms, and perform other important jobs. The goal of the department is to be of service to the student, providing guidance toward a successful life. What does the future hold? After fifteen weeks of volleyball, most students felt prepared to try out for a professional team, On Fridays, the bowling bus, crammed with laughing girls, raced all other traffic down U.S. 1 in a frantic rush to get back to school before the tardy bell rang. The boys bowled occasionally, but preferred spending their time in the more strenuous games of badminton and baseball. 39
