Progress Thru Science Science is the word for today's world. Studies in heart transplants and trips to the moon are topics of normal conversation. Students in South Dade's science department take courses in Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics. Math: 2 + 2 24 Will It Be Tomorrow? The Mathematics department, head- ed by Mrs. Vihlen, offers many classes and opportunities. Basic Math and Beginning Algebra classes pre- sent the fundamental aspects of math. A student can then progress to the more abstract ideas of Ad- vanced Algebra, Geometry, Trig- onometry, and Math 5. While students are struggling through the abstract ideas of mathematics, Mr. Anderson is telling his stories to help brighten the hour.
