Three members placed in this competition. Terry Bare grabbed the State Title for the 112 lb. weight class. Terry defeated Kent Nickerson of Tridelphia who was the defending State Champion from last year. Also, placing in the State Tournament was Marc Beverly who was runner-up and Mike Miller who took third place in their weight classes. The were the Kanawha Valley Champions for thi second consecutive year with a 9-1 conference- record and were fourth in the state at the end o the season. For the second straight year SCHS placed firs in the: Holiday Wrestling Tournament consisting o thirteen other teams, the St. Albans Invitational consisting of thirteen other teams, and the Region Ill Wrestling Tournament consisting 0 nine other teams.
