The FHA is sponsored by Mrs. Burge. Health Careers consists of students interested in the medical profession. They held activities such as. A Tootsie Roll Campaign for the Kidney Foundation; physical therapy for a handicapped child; and they operated a coat check at home basketball games. Mrs. Heironimus is the sponsor. They left on Monday afternoon by charter bus. and arrived in New York City Tuesday morning. During their stay, they visited such famous sites as the Statue of Liberty, Radio City Music Hall, the United Nations, and the Empire State Building. John Yelkich Drama Club You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown The fall production, patterned after the famous cartoon character, Charlie Brown, was something new to the Drama Club, because they enjoyed acting like little kids again. Each Student was able to attend four career sessions and also visit informally with more guests during the leisure time sessions, held in the gym. We had over '150 guests that day covering varied areas such as accounting, computors, karate, engineering, modeling and x-ray. The guests commented on our terrific student body. Each class constructed a float following the theme of The Muppets. The seniors won the float competition with Kermit the Frog riding along to an SC victory. Space Chicken was the new school mascot, and assisted the cheerleaders in raising the pep groups' enthusiasm at all home games. Some highlights of the year included getting new sweaters for the varsity squad, sponsoring the second annual clinic for future SC cheerleaders, and going to camps and clinics themselves.
