COACH’S CORNER The 1985 season found the Trojans involved in many close games. Unfortunately the Trojans were on the losing side in these hard fought games. We seemed to have key fumbles, penalties and other mistakes at the wrong time. Many of our games could have been turned around if the key mistakes were not made. The team was led by nine seniors with Dave McFarlin and John Vogel as co-captains. These fine seniors were surrounded by many inexperienced players. Our inexperience led to many of our crucial mistakes. The young players, however, gained valu- able game experience. The future looks bright for the Trojans with many lettermen returning for 1986. Jeff Oney was named 2nd team FC as a punter. Also, gaining 2nd team FC was Mike Lowery. Named to the FC all-academic team was Allen Beekman with Joel Oney receiving H.M. — Coach Bill Lewis This page sponsored by NATIONAL CITY BANK, NORWALK Your Community Bank. The 1986 Girls Varsity Track team season was highly successful and was highlighted by a dramatic come from behind even in the first ever South Central Invitational. Molly Woodruff dominated all her opponents in the 1600 m and 800 m races and the 1600 m and 3200 m relay teams ran at near record times. Excellent high jumping, long jumping, discus throwing, and hurdling made the team a dominating force in many of the meets. The Science Guild was orga- nized to provide interested students with science exper- iences outside the classroom. This has been done by use of field trips to the Center of Science and Industry, in Co- lumbus, and to the Visitors Information Center of the NASA Lewis Research Cen- ter in Cleveland. The Science Guild is open to students in grades nine through twelve. TRICIA BOONE LEADS SOUTH CENTRAL S.A.D.D.
