The unending eternities of goodbyes Just staying awhile until the magic we found is gone Never bothering, about the feelings we had for you and the hurt you leave us with We didn't expect it to happen waiting slowly, patiently Hoping silently that you would stay but knowing in our hearts that it couldn't happen Accepting defeat has come easier and we’ve grown use to it Acknowledging the end and learning to live with the pain isn’t so bad-noΒ Except we kind of hoped it wouldn’t happen to you because our love for you is too great j Maybe we loved you too much maybe we knew it wouldn't last Forev t, but couldn’t we hope. Highlights of her season were first place at the Sectional meet, second place at Conference, third place at District meet, and fifth place in the girls' individual race at the Slate meet in Columbus. Senior MVP Shane Montgomery led the boys to a 7- 7 dual record and 46-24 overall. Best team finishes were at the St. Paul Invitational (2nd out of 13) and sectionals (6th out of 18). Other boy letter winners were Jamey Armstrong. Mike Chandler, Todd Kissell, and Mike Keysor. Other team members were Randy Palm, Keith Downing. Mike Kilbane and Matt White. With only one senior on this years team, the 1984 season should be full of excitement and success. Tad Walker and Darryl Hale, was lost to graduation. Many players gained valu- able varsity experience, which w ill help them in the future. M Brown The South Central Lady Trojans have finally turned the corner to what could be an excellent basketball future for the girls at this school. l.ed by Seniors Sue and Sandy Ott this year’s team finished with a record 10 wins and 10 losses and also advanced to the sectional championships, losing to West- ern Reserve. They also showed two wins over Black River, who was a sectional champion, and one win over Maple- ton. who was the District and Conference champions. South Central also showed its share of young talent as Deb Walcher, Cheryl King and Audrey Fox. all sopho- mores, were varsity starters. Freshmen Molly Woodworth also contributed heavily to the girls' success. A good returning varsity along with a string J.V. team (11-7) add a very good eighth grade team should provide an exciting future for the South Central Lady Trojans. 37 This page was sponsored by McKnown, Schaffer and McKnown Co. Starcher The 4-10 record that the freshmen boys finished the year with certainly does not indicate the level of improvement that took place during the season. As a team, these men steadily matured as both basketball players and responsible people. In our program the philosophy of β€œteam play is stressed as our most essential element for success; strong individuals make for a strong team. The individual improvement of each player must, and did. take place, and as a result, these men became a better team through the three qualities that add up to improvement; Determination, Committment, and Sacrifice. It is these three qualities that indicate improvement not a won-loss record. 39 This page was sponsored by the Enterpise Review Shopper's Helper β€” Greenwich.
