Murray, Coach Individual Achievements Highlight Cross-Coun- try Season The cross country team did not enjoy the team success of previous years, but did have several outstanding individual performances. Junior Jake Roth showed continued improvement throughout the year, highlighted by a 16th place finish in the Sectional Meet and 41st place in the District meet. Senior Harry Hawkins set a new school record for the 2 ' i mile distance with a 13:05 time. He capped an outstanding career at South Central with a 4th place finish in the Sec- tional, 16th in the District and 24th in the State meet in Columbus. 32 G T O E L A F M 33 Left to right: K. The 1981-82 Trojan Basketball season was a pretty successful season as the team rolled to a 20-3 record including a Firelands Conference Championship, and a Sectional Championship. This years’ team was led by senior center Bill Schulz who was named Player of the Year in the conference and also in the Ashland area.
