Duane Palm received his state farmer degree. The senior parlimentary procedure team placed second and received a gold rating in the county con- test. In the county public speaking, the team, received a gold in extemporaneous, a silver in creed. Entomology team received first in Ben Logan invitational, first in the state contest. The Fish identification team placed third in district contest. The Wool team placed third in district and fourteenth in the state contest. The Dairy judging team received a second at the county fair, a third in the Bellevue invitational, third in district, seventh in the Ben Logan invi- tational. and also a twelfth in the slate contest. The General livestock judging team placed first at the county fair, second in the Ben Logan invitational. The team won champion- ship in the Firelands Conference Meet, Sectional Meet, and Old Fort Invitational. They were Run- ner’s-up in the Northwest District and Galion Invitational, and placed third in the Findlay College Invitational. The Harriers also qualified for the State Meet where they placed twelfth. Scott Leber set a new school re- cord for 2 Vi miles with a clocking of 13:16 and was the team’s Most Valuable Runner. The 20-3 season ties the school re- cord for most wins in a season. The team ended their season ranked 14th in the State, 1st in the Ashland Area, and 2nd in the Mansfield Area, along with their Firelands Conference title and Sectional title. The team was led by tri-captains Doug Fidler, Mark Uselton and Tim Hall. Doug and Mark led a balanced effort both ending their senior year with 310 points. Also contributing greatly to the team was Jr. Center Bill Schulz. Other members of the team were Seniors Lowayne Etzler, Jeff Brown, and Jay Tilton; Juniors Tim Hall and Eric Rinehart; and Sophomores Jeff Chandler and Jeff Music.
