Every man in this rate receives extensive training on the operation and maintenance of the Naval Tactical Data System. This system is one of the most complex real time computer systems in use by the Navy today. The combat effectiveness of N.T.D.S. ships is dependent upon the rapid, effective repairs made bythe Data System Technicians.
