BAND Our band received a distinctive honor this year by being the only band in the State of Utah to receive a charter to the National Band Hssociation. Sixteen outstanding members from the band were selected as members to the chapter and may be recognized by a national pin that was given them. The band has also been very active at the celebrations of the different towns and has been very loyal in supporting the football and basketball teams. .2g. 41'

Plnderson - - Hdvisor Home Economics Club The Home Economics Club meets once each month to further the ideals of Homemaking. Ht each meeting some phase ot homemaking is the theme of the program. Hs tar as possible, the program is made up of members ot the club, only the speakers are guests. Such topics as vocations for women, personality, beauty culture, home reading, and home beautification have been discussed. Hn interesting fea- ture of the February meeting was valentine cookies made by the second year foods class. The H.E.C. and the F.l:'.l3l. sponsored the annual Harvest Ball. This year the autumn lead motif was carried out. Plpple cider and doughnuts proved a very popular feature, second only to the crowning ot the king and queen. Financially, this year's ball was the most successful ever held. The F.F.H. and H.E.C. held a joint Christmas party with presents and refreshments for all. The club plans to send a large delegation to the spring convention in Salt Lake City. I -22-
